At this point Mikumo is just a joke character

LoL the author seems want their mc to be a total joke for the entire series.

Because he got sniped through a wall!? Put literally anyone else there and they get sniped as well.

The author don't know the "character development" lmao. It's already episode 68 but he's still a loser.

I'm more inclined to believe that the readers only know "character development" should happen fast and believe that MC should obtain broken OP skills (in this situation obtain a black trigger or huge amount of trion) and win every match 100% via power of friendship or via stronger will.

most of you only wanted to play safe that every fight an MC does should be a 100% win, otherwise you'll consider them "joke character" and don't know "character development"

you should drop this anime, this anime involved a lot of thinking (probably not a good place for you if you can't handle simple strats), and if you think that MC should be the one decimating everyone using plot armor... then go find another anime.

So many people complaining about Mikumo's development haven't watched the latest episodes, so its understandable. Frankly, I had similar sentiments until I understood why he was severely limited. Mikumo's psychology made him want to be strong as fast as possible, because he had placed an unrealistic goal for himself (A-Rank within the same rank wars). However, he did not understand that he has to develop his own style of fighting rather than trying to copy other people

he came up with a unique style that's probably only viable to him
after this match he got into thinking that with his strength he'll be useless after he gets eliminated. he found a good way to compensate this leaving something behind after being eliminated. for his teammates to use.

he doesn't get better (trion wise) but he gets smarter and use more flexible strats that gets dirtier and more nastier than last time.

He doesn't get better, he develops his own style of fighting as I explained above. And it's his personalized style that actually lets him score on two battles, using teamwork of course

I can see that Ashihara sensei intentionally nerfed Kuga for this sections of the stort by taking away Replica. After all, by simply having Replica, it grants Kuga unfair advantage against every one else that's below the top 3 teams in A rank. It's like having an onsite operator, sixth sense and strategist, all rolled into one.

i mean i don't understand how anyone would think he'd be ideally stronger after just a week of training, but i do agree that him, trying to get one of them instead of backing down and trying to regroup with yuma, wasn't as smart as i thought he was.

i honestly think osamu is a bit too obsessed with the idea of trying to get a point for himself (even thought it would help the team a great lot, i personally believe he should work on sharpening his decision making as his plans are plausible). And trying to be like other strong shooters with his limiting supply of trion, is getting in the way of his improvement.

Also, it should be taken into consideration that yuma has been fighting alongside his father for 9 years as well as 4 years on his own so it's no doubt he's gonna be stronger and more badass than yuma.

But mannn I was hoping that after all that talk and getting advices from the upper ranks he'd improved. Doesn't matter if he gets stronger or not, I was hoping he could at least come up with a smart strategy but oh well...that's just how he is for now I guess -a sitting duck in the middle of a battle.
